Frequently Asked Questions
Can this tour replace a full day of driving the Road to Hana?
This 45-minute flight provides an aerial overview of East Maui, including Hana, rainforest valleys, waterfalls and Haleakala. It does not include roadside stops, beaches or time in Hana, but it is a convenient option for travelers who want to see the region’s remote scenery without spending an entire day driving.
Will the helicopter fly directly over Haleakala Crater?
Haleakala Crater is one of the planned highlights, but the exact route depends on clouds, wind and visibility. The pilot may change the flight path or viewing angle when necessary, so close views of every landmark cannot be guaranteed on each departure.
How early should I arrive for the Hana and Haleakala flight?
Passengers must check in at Kahului Heliport 45 minutes before the scheduled flight. Allow additional time for the drive and parking, especially when traveling from West Maui, where the trip to the heliport can take approximately 60 to 70 minutes.
