How physically demanding is the Kayak, Snorkel and Waterfall Combo?
The tour combines approximately 2.5 hours of ocean kayaking with snorkeling and an easy one-mile roundtrip rainforest hike. Although the trail portion is leisurely, participants should be comfortable spending a full day outdoors and taking part in several different activities.
Do I have to swim beneath the waterfalls?
No. Swimming in the pools beneath the 10- and 20-foot waterfalls is optional. Guests may enjoy the rainforest walk, stream scenery and waterfall views without entering the freshwater pools.
Where does the tour begin, and what time should I arrive?
Guests meet at Makena Landing for the 7:00 am departure, and the tour returns at approximately 2:30 pm. Plan to arrive before the scheduled meeting time so you have enough time to park, locate the guide and prepare for the kayaking portion of the adventure.
