Pacific Whale Foundation - Molokini & Turtle Adventure
Embark on a small-group ocean safari that explores Molokini Crater and Maui’s southern snorkel sites. This intimate tour takes you beyond the ordinary, with the chance to snorkel the deeper, outer edges of Molokini or drift snorkel its backside in waters reaching 300 feet deep (weather permitting). The flexible itinerary ensures the best conditions of the day, with possible stops at Ahihi-Kinau Reserve or other top spots. Expect encounters with Hawaiian green sea turtles, dolphins, rays, reef sharks, and during winter, humpback whales. With a maximum of 30 passengers, the smaller vessel offers a more personal experience and access to hidden locations. Breakfast, BBQ lunch, and refreshments are included.

Check-in at 7:00 am at the Pacific Whale Foundation's Ocean Store at the Maui Harbor Shops, which shares a parking lot with Maui Ocean Center, located at 192 Maalaea Rd, Wailuku (GPS address). View Map
Parking is paid throughout the harbor. Please review signage upon arrival.
Restrictions
As an intermediate to advanced snorkel adventure, this trip is not recommended for non-swimmers, pregnant women, people with heart conditions or anyone with neck, back or knee problems.
Use of any full-face snorkel masks are not allowed on Pacific Whale Foundation activities due to safety concerns.
REEF-SAFE SUNSCREEN GUIDELINES: This tour requires you to use reef-safe sunscreen in accordance with the statewide ban on sunscreens that harm the reefs. Please read the ingredients list of your sunscreen as "reef-safe" is not a regulated term and sunscreens listed as such can have the following banned ingredients in them: oxybenzone, octinoxate, avobenzone, avobenzine, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate. Reef-Safe sunscreen can also be found in local stores or be purchased on board (4oz for $17, price is subject to change).
Wheelchairs: This vessel is NOT wheelchair accessible. Guests who can board (with or without assistance from someone in their group) may attend, but there is only outside seating and nowhere to store a wheelchair on board.
Our vessels are CASHLESS for purchases. Only credit, debit or digital payment methods with a QR code will be accepted for onboard purchases. Cash will graciously be accepted for gratuities only.

Is the Maui Snorkel & Sunset Sail suitable for first-time snorkelers?
Yes. Premium snorkel equipment, flotation gear and guidance from a lifeguard-certified crew are included. Marine naturalists are also aboard to help guests learn about the reef and wildlife, making the outing approachable for beginners and families.
What food is served during the Maui Snorkel & Sunset Sail?
The onboard meal includes chicken, kiawe-smoked pork, vegan burgers, beef hot dogs, potato macaroni salad, edamame slaw, vegetables with dips and dessert. Drinks are served while guests relax during the sunset portion of the cruise.
Can guests with limited mobility board this sailing catamaran?
The vessel is not wheelchair accessible and has high boarding steps, so it is not recommended for guests who cannot climb aboard safely even with help from someone in their group. Passengers should consider the boarding requirements before reserving.
